A potential paperview next year for WWE is going the Queen of the ring route which I absolutely love. Having the women put into that tournament and let them shine like the men's tournament in the 90s and early 2000s would push them in a different way.
The King of the Ring was one of my favorite paperviews because you had matches you wouldnt see any other night. It also helped careers get pushed higher and set up feuds that weren't there to begin with, so yes I love the potential of queen of the ring.
Having these women, like Sasha, Bayley, Charlotte, Asuka, Nia Jax, and maybe if they aren't champions, Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey. Having these women involved in the tourney to Crown a queen would be amazing. As long as they are aloud to go all out, let them have the freedom to have a great match and tell a good story in the ring.
Bret Hart, Steve Austin, Owen Hart, HHH, Edge, Brock Lesnar, and Booker T are all former Kings of the ring and some of these guys got the pushes they deserved after winning this tournament, I feel the womens Queen of the Ring could do the same for them.
Given the state of WWE as poor storylines and events haven been, the womens portion has been the hottest thing going for them, in particular on Charlotte Flairs, Ronda Rousey, and Becky Lynch's doing. (I'll be honest I'm actually only paying attention to what Lynch is doing right now.)
It's a good idea if done right but WWE hasn't done much right lately so it's not a Guarentee that they'll pull it off. This could mean a big payoff for certain women wrestlers to give them some much needed extra attention to become a house hold name much like several others have accomplished on the roster.
